Bryant Rousseau is an Inside Out conceptual artist, working across painting, drawing, artificial intelligence, photography, sculpture, video and sound.

What’s an Inside Out artist?

Like any Outsider artist, Rousseau is entirely self-taught. But he is also deeply schooled in art history and intimately aware of trends in contemporary art (a knowledge he tries to have some fun with). It is this unique inside-out combination that, he hopes, makes his art distinctive.

His main site, AffordableModernArt.com, is where he displays more than 3,800 works, in over 100 different conceptual series, across paintings, drawings, photos, sculptures, A.I. art, video and performance.

Because he has a large section on that site dedicated to Contemporary Art for Kids, he is showing his R-rated "The Art of Porn" series on a separate site. By painting out the performers, the series foregrounds the background artworks that most viewers of the scene would (presumably!) ignore.

He hopes the images are visually striking and also, perhaps, that they encourage viewers to think about what they see, when, and why.
